Don’t worry fellow gamers, as we migrate to the new web interface, all accounts created in the forum will be transferred over. Amazingly your post counts will still REMAIN! And you DO NOT need to register a new account, just reset your password!

How do I reset my password?

Simple enough! Once the web portal is officially launch at 12.00am, 25th October 2008, you are required to click on “Forgot your password?”

Once the new page loads, fill in your e-mail address (the same e-mail used to register in UCpro) and click “Submit”

Check your e-mail for the verification link and click on it.

Now you are able to log in to the UCpro web portal for the latest news and updates.

SMM: Selangor Qualifier Finished

The road rolls on for hardcore DotA gamers nationwide to battle it out for the final 8 slots of the SMM Grand Finals in November 2008. Qualify teams stand a chance to meet heavy weights with the likes of MYM and SK Gaming considered by many to be the two best professional DotA teams in the world with a huge fan base world wide. A total of 44 teams will wrestle it out for the grand prize of RM 36,000, approximately USD$ 10,000.

Held last week in INC Cyber café located in SS2 Petaling Jaya, the SMM DotA Tournament reached yet another milestone when 40 teams participated in what is considered to be the largest number of participants in any SMM Grand National Qualifier.

Petaling Jaya – Top teams from across the land came for one of the most anticipated DotA event since the ESWC in 1 Utama to secure the last 8 slots for the SMM Grand National Finals that will commence on November. The SMM Selangor Qualifier drew an amount of 40 teams from across the nation including 2 teams from Singapore, making it the most participated SMM Grand National Qualifier to date.

While our team; UCPro.Tbun has already successfully secured a spot in the grand finals, home grown talents such as Team Massacre and Team MoMo put up a great show but did not manage to make it through the 2nd round, losing to Team Say Thanks and Team Terminal 2 respectively.

Team NyX’s member Purify, Cass, Jasminne, Jiayi and PoiPoiPoi stole the spotlight as the team consists of 3 girls and 2 guys, blowing their opponents away only to succumb in the quarter-finals against Team Say thanks. It was much fun having them around as they light up the arena with shouts, laughs and smiles even when they lost the game, redefining “Girl Power”.

Powerhouse Team Impreza were the favorites to win the Selangor qualifiers and they did not let their supporters down winning their games convincingly to set up a final show down with underdogs Team Say Thanks. The Finals of the SMM Selangor Qualifier between Team Impreza and Team Say Thanks was fairly one sided as Team Impreza mange to secure their initial line up during the draft stages while underdogs Team Say Thanks did not manage to pull off yet another surprise as they did through out the rounds leading to the finals with their unexpected hero picks making Team Impreza a formidable team to look out for at the grand finals.

Regardless of the results, the top 4 team progress to the SMM National Grand Finals in Berjaya Times Square on the month of November 2008 and they stand a chance of a life time to play with the likes of professional gamers such as Team MYM, Kingsurf, and SK Gaming.

UCPro DotA Server Beta Test

We know that you have propably been complaining for many weeks about the closing of BSv3, so we decided to release a beta version despite we still have some coding works to do with the stable version of UCprotect. we also hope by releasing the beta version we can get your help in testing out the bandwidth of our server and also any error.

Please note that this beta server is only for testing purpose. we have enhanced our coding from the previous version to provide a smoother gameplay so we want to test out it out in the real server. Your feedback will be much appreciated but remember to do it in the forum. not email me or any other administrators.

What have we improved from the previous BSv3?
* Smoother gameplay with lower pings.
* Stronger anti-hack features (we all hate maphackers dont we)
* A more stable version of superhost feature (only opened to certain qualified members)
* Enhanced account registration module to prevent accout spammer.
* Unlimited Channel Operators/Voices

All the account created during this period will be deleted after we lauched our complete version of loader. And ofcourse banlist system will be back by then. Remember, DO NOT complain about the absence of the banlist system during this period because it is only a beta testing. It will be leavers in the games as i forsee so if you think you cannot take it then i suggest you wait for another 2 weeks for the release of complete version.

There are rumours saying that we are going to replace the old streamyx email registration with SMS. This is only partly correct. Yes we will start to use SMS verification once we launch the Stable UCprotect but we will not abandon the streamyx verification method. And dont worry about the SMS charges, as we always said we are not selling accounts now and we have no plan to do it in the future. The SMS will be RM0.30 for the registration and it is not going into our pockets. It is the cost for the SMS feature.

Last but not least, we sincerely thank you for your previous supports in BSv1 to BSv3 and hopefully you can keep supporting us in UCpro. We promise to do our best to make UCpro the best server for you and your dota friends to hang out with.

UCprotect is not a Themida Virus!

For your information. Themida is not a Virus. It is just a technology to protect the file from being altered unlawfully. Some poorly designed Antivirus takes no afford to analyze Themida packed file deeper and simply announces it as a virus because It is good enough to protect the program from average crackers and script kiddies from modifying it. Due to nature of the Themida, a lot of malware developers take advantaged on the Themida packer so that they can evade from Antivirus.

Since those poorly designed Antivirus couldn't understand what is inside the file, they just simply give us a false positive scan result once they detected the file is packed by Themida. If such, I would recommend you to switch to a better Antivirus which give you more accurate scans.

I can assure you that UCprotect is totally harmless to your PC. It doesn't steal data, doesn't destroy your system, doesn't modify your system files in anyway. Despite of rumors, years of using my programs do you get any virus infection from it?

Solutions and Recommendations :
You can either safe list ucprotect.exe or choose another Antivirus program that doesn't give you the false alert

We will be launching a new web portal and it will be divided into 4 teams:
